Set on Bourbon Island—present-day Réunion—during the era of slavery, MARTYR follows Malik, a defiant young enslaved man whose fight for freedom becomes part of a larger story of resistance, identity, love, and collective memory.

Blending theatre, music, dance, and live performance, the production is currently in development in partnership with the Réunion-based association Kre-all-Arts.
